Press freedom in India on the decline

Journalists the world over are increasingly facing pressures in countries known to uphold the right to expression and a free press. In India too, the press freedom is on the decline, according to the 2018 World Press Freedom Index. On World Press Freedom day, a look at democracies with the most and least press freedom, and also at the number of journalists and media people who laid down their lives for the freedom of press in the last couple of years.
