Government to ask EC: Can simultaneous Lok Sabha, assembly polls be held in 2019?

The government will seek the Election Commission's (EC) opinion on whether simultaneous election to the Lok Sabha and state assemblies be held in multiple phases beginning next year, official sources have said.
