TR Zeliang resigns as Nagaland CM, Neiphiu Rio to prove majority by March 16

Nagaland chief minister TR Zeliang on Tuesday resigned from his post, ending speculation that the state was heading toward a constitutional crisis. Zeliang told reporters that his party, the NPF, would play the role of a constructive opposition in the Assembly for the welfare of the state.
